Orders and delivery

The application stores your checkout reference, email address, purchased edition, amount and purchase date in Cloudflare D1. Private books are stored in Cloudflare R2. Stripe processes payment information. We do not receive or store card numbers. If enabled, Resend sends transactional download emails.

Essential storage

A secure browser cookie associates the checkout with your browser for 30 days. Download tokens are stored as hashes and expire after 24 hours. Short-lived hashed IP identifiers limit abuse. This site includes no analytics or advertising cookies.

Retention and your rights

We process your order reference, purchased language edition, purchase email address, amount, currency and payment status to perform the contract, provide the file and offer support. Required accounting records and associated order data are retained for ten years from the end of the relevant financial year where required by law. Other data and support correspondence are kept only while needed to handle your request, unresolved claims or legal obligations. Expired technical records are regularly reviewed and removed. Cloudflare provides hosting and file storage; Stripe processes payments through Managed Payments. These providers may also process data outside Switzerland and the EEA. Their privacy notices describe recipients, countries and safeguards. For privacy matters, access, correction or deletion requests, contact Claudius Vinzens at support@quiettheorybooks.com.
